About the role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role involves building, operating, and improving secure cloud platforms that support Juvare’s enterprise resilience solutions. You will work closely with Engineering and Security teams to deliver reliable, scalable SaaS environments for both commercial and federal customers, with a focus on regulated settings.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering and Security teams to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud platforms
  • Operate in FedRAMP High, DoD IL5, or equivalent regulated environments
  • Manage compliance and continuous monitoring processes
  • Work within AWS GovCloud or secure boundary environments
  • Operate managed databases (backup/restore, replication, performance, and access management)
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub
  • Build workflow automation and developer automation using tools like n8n, Replit
  • Deploy models to production (real-time or batch) and manage model lifecycle
  • Optimize costs and ensure performance

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure
  • Experience operating in FedRAMP High, DoD IL5, or equivalent regulated environments
  • Understanding of Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, compliance, and continuous monitoring (ConMon)
  • Experience with GovCloud and secure boundary environments
  • Operational experience with managed databases (backup/restore, replication, performance, and access management)
  • Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with AI-Enabled tools like n8n, Replit
  • Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, ECS/Fargate
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, CloudWatch)
  • Experience with security tooling (WAF, SIEM, vulnerability management)
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, Powershell)
  • Experience in production operations (incident response, on-call, RCA)
  • Understanding of networking, security, and system architecture
  • Experience with MLOps pipelines (training, deployment, monitoring)
  • Familiarity with tools like SageMaker, MLflow, Kubeflow
  • Understanding of data pipelines and model lifecycle management

Qualifications

  • Experience with LLMs / GenAI workflows (RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning)
  • Familiarity with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, OpenSearch)
  • Experience with AIOps or AI-driven automation
  • Experience with data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Experience with GCP
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid architecture
  • Experience with cost optimization and performance tuning
  • Jira / Confluence experience

Skills

  • Ownership mindset in regulated, high-stakes environments
  • Ability to balance compliance, security, and delivery speed
  • Comfort working across SysOps, Engineering, and Security teams

This position requires access to information that is controlled by the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
