Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivers high-complexity development or automation tasks as part of a team.
  • Documents code.
  • Ensures the team follows established software product engineering practices related to software development.
  • Works under moderate supervision with access to assistance for work assignments not covered through established guidelines.
  • Acquires solid knowledge and develops specialized skills.
  • Establishes individual priorities when supporting projects and/or processes.

Design and Development

  • Designing, coding, and debugging applications in various software languages or tools.
  • Developing software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • Testing and maintaining existing codebases and peer reviewing code changes.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues.

Collaboration

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers.
  • Translating customer requirements into technical specifications.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree, or a significant amount of relevant experience.
  • Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Quantitative or Engineering Field preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant and practical experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting Portfolio Management applications such as Clarity PPM, Jira, or similar platforms; Experience developing enterprise workflow and automation solutions; Experience with portfolio management, project management, or PMO business processes; Experience with systems integration, scripting, and API development; Experience supporting platform upgrades and enterprise application modernization initiatives; Experience with reporting, analytics, and data management solutions; Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
