Senior Development Engineer (Palantir)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivers high-complexity development or automation tasks as part of a team.
• Documents code.
• Ensures the team follows established software product engineering practices related to software development.
• Works under moderate supervision with access to assistance for work assignments not covered through established guidelines.
• Acquires solid knowledge and develops specialized skills.
• Establishes individual priorities when supporting projects and/or processes.
• Perform other assigned job-related duties that align with our organization's vision, mission, and values and fall within your scope of practice.

Design and Development

• Designing, coding, and debugging applications in various software languages or tools.
• Developing software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
• Testing and maintaining existing codebases and peer reviewing code changes.
• Troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues.

Collaboration

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers.
• Interacting with customers or end-users to gather requirements and provide support.
• Translating customer requirements into technical specifications.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s Degree, or a significant amount of relevant experience.
• Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Quantitative or Engineering Field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning or Supply Chain Management, with a strong understanding of demand planning, inventory optimization, production scheduling, or S&OP processes.
• Preferred: Hands-on development experience in Palantir Foundry (Ontology, Code Repositories, Workshop, or data pipeline development) or equivalent experience building data-driven applications, or proficiency in modern programming languages, including: Python for data transformation, analytics, and application logic, C++ for performance-critical components, JavaScript and React for building interactive front-end applications, SQL for querying, modeling, and optimizing large datasets.
