Senior Developer, Sales Technology
About the role
The Senior Developer, Sales Technology is a hands-on software engineer responsible for designing, building, testing, and supporting secure, scalable technology solutions for B2B-side Sales Technology Accelerator Teams. This role helps deliver integrated sales ecosystem capabilities across commercial data, workflow automation, agentic orchestration, headless CRM patterns, market activation, stewardship reporting, control tower measurement, and external data enrichment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support production-ready B2B Sales Technology solutions using modern application, data, integration, and cloud engineering patterns.
- Build and maintain application and integration components using Python, Java, SQL, REST APIs, event-driven patterns, and Azure-native development practices as appropriate to solution scope.
- Partner with Product Owners, Functional Analysts, Scrum Leads, Tech Leads, Data and Analytics teams, QA, DevSecOps, vendors, and business stakeholders to translate outcomes into technical stories, designs, estimates, and implementation plans.
- Work with Databricks datasets, SQL outputs, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Foundry, Power BI, and related data services to consume, validate, troubleshoot, and operationalize sales technology data flows.
- Develop secure integrations across enterprise platforms such as Salesforce/GB360, Seismic, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, M365, MarTech tools, Power Automate, MFT, BenefitFlow, and external data providers.
- Use approved AI-assisted development tools to accelerate code creation, test design, documentation, refactoring, troubleshooting, and technical research while maintaining human review and engineering accountability.
- Contribute to agentic workflow, automation, and AI-enabled delivery patterns that improve seller productivity, operating efficiency, reporting quality, and speed to value.
- Participate in Agile team routines, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, retrospectives, release readiness activities, and cross-team dependency conversations.
- Apply secure design and coding practices including authentication, authorization, secrets management, dependency scanning, auditability, monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and production support readiness.
- Investigate defects, integration failures, data discrepancies, performance issues, and production incidents; document root causes and implement durable fixes.
- Improve engineering practices through peer reviews, reusable patterns, automated testing, CI/CD discipline, feature flags, technical debt reduction, and operational documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of software or product engineering experience building and running production systems.
- Strong hands-on development experience with Python and/or Java, with the ability to design, code, test, debug, and support maintainable software components.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills, including ability to validate source-to-target data, analyze query outputs, and troubleshoot data quality issues.
- Experience building enterprise integrations using REST APIs, event-driven patterns, file-based integrations, or other enterprise integration approaches.
- Experience with cloud development preferably Azure, source control, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or comparable deployment tooling.
- Working knowledge of secure development and production support practices including authentication, authorization, secrets management, dependency scanning, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in Agile delivery teams with backlog refinement, sprint execution, testing support, release readiness, and continuous improvement routines.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical thinking, problem solving, and stakeholder partnership skills.
Qualifications
- Experience designing or building agentic workflows, workflow automation, or AI-enabled productivity solutions.
- Experience with Databricks datasets, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Foundry, or comparable cloud data and integration services.
- Experience using or enabling AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Claude Cowork, or comparable approved engineering productivity tools.
- Experience with ETL/ELT, data modeling, structured and unstructured data processing, data enrichment, or cross-platform analytics solutions.
- Experience integrating with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Seismic, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, M365, Power Automate, or marketing technology platforms.
- Familiarity with Salesforce concepts such as Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities, Campaigns, Activities, reports, dashboards, and CRM-adjacent workflows.
- Experience with SalesTech, MarTech, Customer Data Platforms, CRM-related ecosystems, broker/customer engagement, commercial operations, or sales enablement platforms.
- Experience building reporting or analytics solutions using Power BI or comparable visualization/reporting platforms.
- Experience with structured and unstructured data sources, external data enrichment, measurement instrumentation, or cross-ecosystem analytics.
- Exposure to Seismic APIs, content automation, LiveDocs, enablement platforms, MCP-based data access, prompt engineering, or agent orchestration concepts.
- SAFe for Teams, Azure, cloud engineering, DevSecOps, data engineering, or relevant software engineering certification.
