Senior Developer, Data Center Infrastructure & Development

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and originate strategic development opportunities for Infinium Edge™ infrastructure and data center-related projects.
  • Lead site selection efforts, including landowner outreach, land acquisition strategy, lease negotiations, and property diligence activities.
  • Evaluate infrastructure feasibility, including utility availability, transmission access, water resources, thermal integration opportunities, and permitting considerations.
  • Manage all phases of project development, including entitlement, zoning, environmental diligence, permitting, interconnection coordination, and infrastructure planning.
  • Build and maintain relationships with landowners, utilities, municipalities, economic development organizations, and other external stakeholders.
  • Cook up with internal engineering, commercial, finance, operations, and legal teams to progress projects through development milestones.
  • Support commercial structuring activities, including infrastructure agreements, easements, utility coordination agreements, and related development contracts.
  • Oversee third-party consultants including environmental, engineering, surveying, permitting, and legal firms.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and executive reporting materials.
  • Prepare investment committee presentations, development updates, permitting filings, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Track market trends, emerging data center development opportunities, and competitive infrastructure activity.
  • Serve as the primary development lead for assigned projects through execution readiness.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, real estate development, business, environmental science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure development, data center development, energy project development, industrial real estate, or related sectors.
  • Direct experience with land acquisition, site origination, and negotiating land purchase agreements or long-term leases.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure project development processes, including permitting, zoning, environmental diligence, and utility coordination.
  • Experience working with utilities, municipalities, economic development agencies, and regulatory bodies.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure requirements, energy infrastructure, thermal systems, or industrial development projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple complex projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support development activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting hyperscale, AI compute, or high-performance computing infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with power markets, transmission infrastructure, or utility interconnection processes.
  • Experience in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, or large-scale industrial project development environments.
  • Existing relationships within data center, utility, or infrastructure development ecosystems.
