Senior Designer, Sweaters
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Creative Directors and VP of Design on creating an inspiring, cohesive and on-brand collection each season.
- Follow a calendar of 4 season/10 deliveries: Spring (1,2,3), Resort/Pre-Spring (1,2), Pre-Fall (1,2) and Fall (1,2,3).
- Research and Develop of new ideas each season through market research, vintage shopping, VB customer feedbacks.
- Understand the balance between design/seasonal inspiration and sales/merchandising needs.
- Partner with Senior Knitwear PD/Production Manger through the entire product cycle.
- Meet with vendors for sourcing and attend domestic trade shows.
- Attend all development and production fittings.
- Participate in seasonal lookbook shoot and fashion week presentation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of related experience
- Proactive and able to multi-task
- Strong hand sketching ability and good color sensibility
- Excellent technical knowledge
- Resourceful, organized and strong problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop
- PLM experience a plus
Pay
The base salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $125,000. The relevant base salary will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications.
Schedule
The position is based in our New York Corporate Office.
