About the role
Dante is an all-in-one daily tracker. You will own how six different domains — tasks, workouts, nutrition, spending, supplements, habits — share one home screen without feeling like six different apps.
Responsibilities
- Own information design across all six modules. One mental model, six surfaces.
- Lead the iOS widget design — what one glance shows about today.
- Run weekly self-use sessions: we use Dante every day, find what's wrong, fix it the next morning.
- Design with the iPad in mind — same data, bigger surface.
- Write the design notes that go to TestFlight users with every build.
First Six Months
A real plan, not a wish. What success looks like, broken down by month, so you and we both know what we are agreeing to.
- Month 1: use Dante daily for two weeks. List every grievance.
- Month 2–3: redesign the daily-review screen. Land before the App Store submission.
- Month 4–5: design the iPad-native layout — drag-to-reorder, multi-column.
- Month 6: present a writeup of "how to design an all-in-one without feeling bloated".
Requirements
- 5+ years in product design, with at least 2 on a consumer iOS app.
- SwiftUI literate — comfortable handing off interaction details that survive implementation.
- Dense-data design instincts — health, finance, productivity apps.
- Writes well. We will ask for a writing sample.
Nice to have
- Knows iPad gestures and Apple Pencil intimately.
- Has shipped a feature where the win was something the user did NOT see.
Compensation
Senior design band, structured as runway. Equity in Dante as it forms.
Team & Reporting
Software team: Dante solo development (you'd be #2). Reporting to Founder.
