Senior Designer

Are you an experienced civil design professional looking to work on complex and impactful land development projects throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area? Soltesz is seeking a Senior Designer to join our growing Lanham team. In this role, you'll work alongside engineers, planners, surveyors, and landscape architects to develop innovative site design solutions for commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.

What You'll Do

• Prepare civil engineering plans utilizing MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Design water and sewer systems in accordance with WSSC requirements
• Develop stormwater management, storm drainage, and erosion & sediment control plans
• Prepare utility layouts for subdivision and site development projects
• Produce technical drawings and exhibits supporting engineering and planning efforts
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams on projects throughout the region

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience on complex commercial and residential land development projects
• Strong proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Experience with utility, stormwater, drainage, and site development design
• Experience with WSSC design standards and plan processing preferred
• Prince George's County experience is a plus
• Associate degree and technical certifications are desirable but not required
