About the role
IMEG, one of the largest design consulting firms in the U.S., is seeking a Part Time Senior Civil Designer in our Missoula, MT office. As a Senior Civil Designer, you will lead design efforts for moderate to complex projects and collaborate with a team of engineers and consultants.
Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts for the analysis of municipal infrastructure
- Perform site assessments and generate detailed analysis and technical reports
- Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively
- Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication
- Provide technical training and mentoring
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals
Requirements
- Lead the design and analysis of Civil Engineering project features utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards
- Adept in the technical aspects of one’s discipline
- Mentor, train, motivate, and lead others
- Perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
- Sell work and develop client relationships
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
- Work collaboratively in a team environment
- Adapt to new challenges
- Be proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required
- 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the civil engineer consulting industry
- Associates degree, or certificate, in utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or equivalent software tools or engineering preferred
- 11 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the civil engineer consulting or construction industry
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
- Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills related to the Civil Engineering field
- Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills
- Eagerness to adapt to new challenges
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook

Pay
The pay range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 annually.
Schedule
This is a part-time position with occasional overnight stays.
