Senior Design Project Manager

About the role

A leading engineering and consulting firm specializing in mission-critical facilities, hyperscale data centers, and advanced infrastructure is seeking a Senior Design Project Manager to lead complex projects from concept through construction and closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from early planning through design, construction administration, commissioning, and closeout.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, RFIs, submittals, and overall project delivery.
• Cookordinate engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Conduct site visits and construction observations while ensuring quality and technical excellence.
• Oversee project financials, forecasting, profitability, change orders, and risk management.
• Serve as a primary client contact and build long-term client relationships.
• Support proposals, presentations, business development efforts, and client engagement activities.
• Drive efficiency through the use of project management technology and digital delivery tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of project management experience within engineering, construction, mission-critical, or commercial building environments.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction administration, and project delivery processes.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Data center or mission-critical facility experience.
• AutoCAD and/or Revit proficiency.
• Experience with Procore or similar construction management platforms.
• Familiarity with commissioning, testing, startup, and project closeout activities.
