Responsibilities
- Leading the design and development of innovative products and systems from concept to production, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Utilizing your expertise in mechanical design, systems, statistics, and engineering to solve complex problems and create efficient, cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, sales, and marketing, to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and align with company objectives.
- Overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from initial design to end-of-life, ensuring all stages are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Performing statistical analysis to monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and safety of our products and systems.
- Staying abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations, and applying this knowledge to your work.
- Mentoring junior engineers and other team members, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A master's degree or professional engineering (PE) certification would be an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, systems, products, statistics, engineering, and manufacturing, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in designing and developing innovative products and systems, from concept to production.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop effective solutions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
