About the role

This position serves as an Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects or performs complex to difficult engineering assignments. Responsibilities include evaluating, selecting, and applying advanced engineering techniques to a broad set of complex tasks.

  • Develop and review estimates, schedules, and progress reports, including workforce forecasts
  • Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts
  • Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
  • Participate in equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities
  • Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve complex engineering problems
  • Contribute to people development through mentoring, training material creation, and performance appraisal input
  • Analyze and recommend solutions to problems of varying complexity in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in an engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience
  • Professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required (some locations may have additional qualifications)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Technical knowledge necessary to complete job-specific tasks
  • Ability to learn and apply local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Attention to detail and time-effective work habits
  • Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability, and cost of materials
  • Experience with effort-hour estimating, staff forecasting, and leading large projects
  • Project set-up, control-level scheduling, progress reporting, and project close-out skills
  • Practical field experience
  • Intermediate computer skills, including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and presentation software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional registration and membership in a technical society

Pay

Salary range: $119,500.00 – $222,500.00. The market rate typically aligns with the mid-point of this range, with final salary determined by candidate qualifications, experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions.
