About the role

As a Senior Demand Planner, you lead and shape how demand planning drives business performance — turning complex data and cross‑functional input into the clear, aligned forecast leadership relies on to make strategic decisions. You set the standard for how the team forecasts — building more robust processes, advancing forecasting methodologies, and developing other planners to raise the capability of the function. You thrive in ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and influence senior cross‑functional partners to align on new approaches and challenge entrenched assumptions. You own the end‑to‑end demand plan, lead the IBP forums, and shape how tools, models, and planning frameworks evolve over time. Your impact shows up in measurably better forecast accuracy, more proactive decision‑making, and the successful execution of high‑stakes initiatives such as new product launches and seasonal strategies. This role is based out of the North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. We are open to potential candidates based in the US to work out of the Portland, OR office location; US candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.

Our Demand Planning team connects business strategy to the realities of customer demand. We translate market signals, historical data, and cross‑functional insights into a clear, forward‑looking demand forecast that guides decision making across the organization. We work cross‑functionally to align on expectations, challenge assumptions, and continuously refine our outlook to ensure the right products are available at the right time. We take ownership of the demand plan not as individuals, but as a collective — ensuring transparency, accountability, and shared success across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the rolling 12‑18 month demand forecast, balancing statistical rigor with business strategy
  • Set and own forecast accuracy targets and drive their continuous improvement
  • Define the statistical forecasting approach and build the baseline models the team relies on
  • Lead the demand plan through the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle and drive consensus across stakeholders
  • Reconcile top‑down financial targets with bottom‑up SKU forecasts and influence leadership on how to close the gaps
  • Shape the volume outlook that drives Supply Planning’s capacity and build decisions
  • Lead process‑development forums and advance the maturity of how the team plans
  • Coach and develop other planners, setting the standard for best practice across the team
  • Build demand curves and launch models for new products using analogs and market insight
  • Translate assortment launch plans into demand projections
  • Lead in‑season performance management and drive corrective action
  • Integrate feedback from all markets, regions, and channels in a timely way so the demand plan captures the latest business trends
  • Lead scenario planning and risk management, anticipating demand risks and supply constraints before they surface
  • Influence and align cross‑functional partners — Merchandising, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Allocations, FP&A, and eCommerce — to deliver results
  • Drive process improvement through identifying opportunities and learnings for demand planning improvement projects and initiatives as they arise
  • Work closely with other supply chain and product teams on inventory strategies
