Senior Delivery Consultant - Security

About the role

The AWS Professional Services team is seeking a Senior Delivery Consultant - Security to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role involves designing, implementing, and managing AWS solutions that meet customer technical and business requirements. You will provide technical guidance and best practices throughout the project lifecycle, acting as a trusted advisor to customers.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
• Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
• Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
• Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Requirements

• Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services
• Proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet specific customer needs
• Working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
• Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
• Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
• 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
• 1+ years in advanced incident response to lead response efforts including leading detection and analysis efforts and managing eradication processes
• 5+ years of experience with security services and best practices including: implementing security controls and optimizing security measures
• 3+ years of scripting language, or 2+ years of customer facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of security and compliance standards including HIPAA and GDPR
• Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre-sales environments
• AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
• AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, Certified Security Specialty) preferred
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python)
• Understanding of industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST frameworks)
• Implementation experience with enterprise security solutions (e.g., WAF, IPS, Anti-DDOS, SIEM)
