Senior DC Associate

Azelis Distribution Center Associate with 10+ years of experience, working collaboratively with warehouse teams to maintain a safe, clean, and productive environment. Responsibilities include receiving, storing, and shipping products accurately and efficiently to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in training and teaching new employees (FTE, seasonal, and temp).
  • Ensure all work with customers, suppliers, and employees is performed safely, professionally, courteously, and timely.
  • Direct incoming trucks to appropriate dock positions.
  • Verify bill of lading on incoming shipments matches actual material, lot, and quantity received.
  • Inspect incoming loads for damage or product contamination.
  • Unload and stage incoming shipments.
  • Store product in designated areas according to NFPA storage and segregation standards.
  • Pull and stage orders as indicated by work orders.
  • Print bills of lading and shipping labels for staged orders.
  • Verify staged material matches the bill of lading in material, quantity, and lot number; obtain driver’s signature.
  • Prepare product for shipment according to customer requirements.
  • Attach packing lists, SDS, and COAs as required.
  • Arrange transportation for common carrier shipments.
  • Load and brace material into delivery vehicles according to Department of Transportation standards.
  • Comply with all safety standards (Azelis Americas EHS&S, Fire Prevention, Emergency Action Plans, and SHEQ).
  • Perform inventory counts and verification as requested.
  • Assist in emergency response operations, including spill clean-up and waste disposal.
  • Perform tasks related to daily maintenance, safety, and warehouse operations as directed by supervisor.
  • Understand and adhere to department procedures and policies.
  • Support the principles of Responsible Distribution™.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in chemical distribution.
  • Ability to obtain a CDL Class A License.
  • Trained and/or certified in forklift operation.
  • Physically able to perform labor-intensive activities daily, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
  • Strong teamwork and accountability in a collaborative environment.

Skills

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry; apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret technical instructions in various formats.
  • Computer Skills: Knowledge of internet software, inventory systems, order processing, project management, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
