Senior DBA Tampa, FL (Hybrid Role) 6-12+Months Design, automate, and monitor highly available and scalable database solutions. Optimize database performance through tuning queries, indexes, and schemas for SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Azure SQL DB. Collaborate with Application Development teams to implement best practices for database architecture and performance. Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for database automation and configuration management. Enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability to enable proactive issue resolution. Improve database security, backup, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. Support CI/CD processes for reliable and compliant database changes. Troubleshoot database incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements for database resilience. Stay current with emerging database technologies and recommend enhancements. Participate in on-call support and drive initiatives to minimize on-call incidents. Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers and engineers to deliver robust database solutions. Qualifications 5+ years experience in database administration, reliability engineering, or database engineering. Expertise in SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Azure SQL DB. Experience in high-transaction, large-scale application environments. Strong skills in automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Kubernetes). Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell). Experience with database monitoring, logging, and observability solutions. Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Azure, and DBaaS. Strong background in query optimization, performance tuning, and indexing strategies. Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for database management. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Experience with containerized database workloads (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog). Certifications in SQL Server, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or Azure. Experience with multi-region and globally distributed databases.
