WORK SHIFT DAY (United States of America)

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

  • Manages disk space requirements for growth of data tables and indexes.
  • Provides backup/recovery, performance tuning, security, installing, patching, cloning, maintenance, and upgrades for Oracle database.
  • Oracle EBS suite administration – Patching, cloning, maintenance.
  • Provides backup/recovery, installing and maintenance for SQL Server.
  • Installs, configures, patches, and upgrades Linux system.
  • Maintains database for resource utilization.
  • Performs database backups and monitor backup processes.
  • Implements redundant and/or distributed data strategies.
  • Helps test/validate DR and BC process.
  • Restores the database.
  • Provides performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Aids in application implementation and meets special user requests.
  • Implements new applications as assigned.
  • Provides maintenance of SQL server databases.
  • Develops and implements backup/recovery procedures.
  • Provides routine maintenance for databases.
  • Creates storage of procedures and objects inside the database.
  • Installs database and applications patches, and tools.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree and eight years of related experience.
  • Experience supporting Oracle EBS Oracle and/or Microsoft DBA Certification are preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of computer software and hardware and their network applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Linux.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
