Senior Database Administrator - (DBA)

About the role

The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for all functions associated with the implementation and maintenance of SQL Server databases including tuning, high availability, virtualization, security, backup logging, reporting and recovery procedures. Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful. Location: Hillsboro, OR 97124 (Hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to develop application implementation strategy, and configure, maintain critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications
• Define and implement key database performance metrics and develop remediation plans and lead implementation as appropriate
• Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
• Manage high availability clusters and availability groups to support business requirements
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end
• Design and implement automation processes, track issues, and document changes
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
• Act as a subject matter expert to share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training
