Senior Data Security Architect

The Data Security Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining enterprise data protection strategies and designing secure, scalable architectures to safeguard critical business, operational, and manufacturing data across cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments. Key duties include designing data protection controls for AWS and Azure, establishing secure data architecture patterns for data lakes, analytics, ERP, and AI/ML workloads, and ensuring secure data flows between IT and OT systems. The role involves partnering with multiple teams such as Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, and OT Security to embed security into platform lifecycles, providing technical leadership and mentorship to security engineers and analysts, and evaluating new security tools and technologies. Qualifications require a minimum of 8 years in cybersecurity with a focus on data security and cloud architecture, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and experience designing secure data architectures in cloud environments. Knowledge of data governance, encryption, IAM, Privileged Access Management, Zero Trust, and enterprise applications is essential. Certifications like CISSP, AWS/Azure Security Specialty, or TOGAF are preferred. Key skills include strong analytical, problem-solving, communication abilities, and the capacity to influence stakeholders and lead architectural discussions.
