Senior Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Transform complex spatial data into actionable insights for product and business decisions
• Manage the full geospatial data pipeline from ingestion and processing to analysis and visualization
• Develop and maintain spatial data models and apply machine learning techniques to spatial problems
• Create compelling visualizations and communicate findings to diverse stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to embed spatial intelligence into the platform
• Ensure high geospatial data quality, coverage, and accuracy

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in data science, GIS, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Python for geospatial data analysis (GeoPandas, Shapely, Fiona, Rasterio)
• Deep experience with PostgreSQL and PostGIS for spatial querying and data management
• Familiarity with geospatial standards and formats (GeoJSON, Shapefile, GeoTIFF, WKT, WKB)
• Experience with GIS tools such as QGIS or ArcGIS
• Solid understanding of coordinate reference systems, projections, and spatial indexing
• Ability to communicate findings clearly in a remote, asynchronous environment
