Senior Data Scientist

About the Role

We are working with a dynamic consulting firm deeply involved in cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions for enhancing productivity and analytical capabilities within critical consumer protection and community development divisions. This firm is at the forefront of establishing an innovative AI Lab, embracing generative AI to drive impactful advancements.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions, with a strong emphasis on generative AI applications.
• Build and iterate on proof-of-concept AI solutions, transitioning successful prototypes into production applications.
• Design and implement applications leveraging large language models for text analysis, summarization, information extraction, and workflow automation.
• Develop prompt engineering strategies and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems to improve AI application performance.
• Experiment with fine-tuning, model customization, and evaluation techniques to optimize AI solutions for specific use cases.
• Build, deploy, and maintain AI/ML models and applications in cloud environments, collaborating or independently managing end-to-end deployment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a full-stack Data Scientist with end-to-end ownership from research to deployment.
• Strong background in generative AI and machine learning solutions.
• Proficiency in developing applications leveraging large language models.
• Experience with prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems.
• Ability to work across the full technology stack, including model building, visualization, application development, and deployment.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes) and internal analytics platforms.
• Proficiency with Python frameworks (Streamlit, Dash, Flask) and libraries (Plotly, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
