Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing and supporting database server deployment and configuration.
- Managing and supporting databases High Availability, Disaster Recovery and Security.
- Implementing Performance Tuning, Query Optimization and database systems health checks.
- Implement databases and servers maintenance and patching.
- Maintains performance measurement utilities, which support analysis of real time workload, response time and availability, as well as historical data for trend analysis and capacity management.
- Works with technical staff to implement database software new releases and upgrades as well as managing the physical structure of the database subsystem.
- Participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure database efficiency and maintenance consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborates with management and personnel from server, storage, and application support teams, as well as other groups within Information System and the medical center.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years related work experience required.
- 5+ years of experience in database administration and development in MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle databases environments.
- Experience in Cloud Database Technology (Snowflake, AWS and MS Azure)
- Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, and using Performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, connectivity issues and security issues.
- Documentation skills for processes and procedures (creating KBs, runbooks, topology etc)

Pay Range
$120,000.00 USD – $140,000.00 USD
