Senior Data Conversion Operator Examination

Responsibilities

• Creation and/or conversion of data to machine readable or direct access form using keyboard, 10‑key, scanner, or other device(s).
• Assist in the training of Data Conversion Operators and assume supervisory duties in the supervisor’s absence.
• Perform other job‑related duties as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three years of full‑time paid experience as a computer operator (primary job function: entering, managing, or manipulating data).
• Ability to type 30 words per minute.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License.
• For Public Utilities assignments: excellent 10‑key data entry skills and ability to scan high volume of documents.

Preferences: Cleveland Metropolitan School District graduates receive 5‑point credit; veterans receive 5‑point credit (honorable/general discharge) or 10‑point credit if >15% service‑connected disability, with appropriate documentation.

Pay

$19.21 – $26.78 per hour.
