Senior Data Analytics Manager

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analytics Manager to lead analytics for the Americas Compliance Analytics branch of the Compliance & Internal Audit Analytics team. You’ll partner with 2nd-line Compliance teams in North America and Latin America to ensure regulatory reporting deadlines are met and to proactively monitor risks using data. You’ll lead a team of 3–4 analysts, splitting your time between hands-on work (40%) and leadership (60%).

The Compliance Analytics team supports Compliance by using analytics to improve coverage, efficiency, and accuracy in testing and monitoring, as well as building innovative tools and automation to streamline regulatory reporting and other Compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders across the Compliance function, covering all regions, products, and business domains (including Financial Crime, Operations, Risk, Finance, and IT).
• Own the engagement model between analytics and Compliance for delivering regulatory reporting and drive the shift toward automated pipelines for recurring reports.
• Identify and implement high-impact analytics opportunities within testing projects, influencing and upskilling Compliance partners to do the same.
• Define and track KPIs to measure the team’s success and impact.
• Champion innovation and data-driven insights across all Compliance activities where analytics can add value.
• Lead automation and tooling projects to increase efficiency across Compliance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics.
• 2+ years of experience building, coaching, and leading analysts.
• Advanced stakeholder management skills; ability to leverage multiple teams to deliver high-impact change.
• Extensive experience using SQL; ability to build and maintain complex data sources and leverage visualization tools (Looker, Superset, etc.) to surface insights.
• Experience building reporting outputs, creating advanced SQL scripts based on stakeholder requirements.
• Experience using data engineering tools (GitHub, dbt, Airflow, etc.) to transform messy data into clean, efficient pipelines and produce comprehensive data documentation.
• Strong understanding of data integrity, quality, and governance.
• Meticulous and disciplined approach toward accuracy of data outputs.
• Ability to prioritize your own and your team’s work and independently manage competing priorities.
• Ability to contribute ideas to influence the team’s strategic roadmap.

• Experience in Compliance analytics testing or Internal Audit analytics.
• Experience using dbt.
