CGI is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst with Python skills to support data quality, production data analysis, and automation initiatives within a large-scale financial services environment. This role combines hands-on data analysis with Python development and is located at a client site in either Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Birmingham, AL, or Columbia, SC. A hybrid working model is acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Investigate data variances, production failures, and data quality issues and identify root causes.
- Analyze source to target mappings (STTMs), data lineage, business rules, and source to target data flows.
- Write advanced SQL and Python scripts for data analysis, data correction, validation, and automation.
- Develop and enhance automated solutions that reduce manual data analysis and operational tasks.
- Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to data quality use cases, including anomaly detection and unusual pattern identification.
- Take analytical or ML use cases from hypothesis and exploratory analysis through implementation, testing, validation, and production deployment.
- Verify production changes and certify data following implementation of data corrections.
- Work with technical leads, systems analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technology solutions.
- Document data requirements, findings, data mappings, and implemented solutions.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and business stakeholders.
- Manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments with minimal supervision in an Agile environment.
- Work with enterprise data platforms and AWS-based technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or related data-focused experience.
- Strong hands-on Python development experience, particularly for data processing, automation, and analytical solutions.
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to investigate complex datasets and develop data correction scripts; Oracle experience is preferred.
- Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis of production data issues.
- Experience with data quality, data validation, anomaly detection, and data reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of machine learning and statistical techniques, particularly pattern recognition and anomaly detection.
- Experience moving Python or ML solutions from exploratory analysis through testing, validation, and production implementation.
- Strong understanding of data warehouses, data marts, data lineage, and source to target mappings (STTMs).
- Experience working with enterprise data solutions in AWS environments is strongly preferred.
- Experience comparing and reconciling information across multiple data sources.
- Working experience with Oracle and Toad.
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery practices.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and experience working across technical and business teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-visibility environment.
- Multifamily or Single Family mortgage industry experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 - $127,500.00.
