Senior Data Analyst (Remote)

About the Role

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Data Analyst to support program management, data analytics, and reporting activities at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). This fully remote role involves working within a team of analysts to address government taskings, data calls, analytics, dashboard development, data lineage, and other programmatic needs.

Responsibilities

• Leverage experience with Databricks and other complimentary tool sets to breakdown processes and accurately track data lineage across systems.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to collect and compile information, ensuring timely responses to requests and ad hoc assignments.
• Support data analytics and reporting requirements for unit teams, including weekly and monthly reports to the customer and real-time responses to tasking-related data requests.
• Group data from multiple sources to create interconnected data streams for analysis using SQL or Python.
• Develop data dashboards and organizational views of data requirements for customers.
• Understand client needs, issues, and challenges; perform gap analysis and recommend solutions.
• Coordinate with cross-discipline team members to ensure adherence to project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
• Create project deliverables, including artifacts, to ensure compliance and quality standards.
• Develop, gather, and disseminate information and documentation among business and technical customers in support of Project Managers.
• Establish and execute effective project communication plans.
• Verify and analyze data to align with project direction.
• Track, forecast, and report on project progress, including metrics and challenges.
• Analyze changes in requirements and recommend expedient solutions in collaboration with team members.
• Use advanced writing skills to translate complex issues into clear, concise, and compelling narratives.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or commensurate experience)
• 8+ years of professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis
• Experience with Databricks
• Experience with Python and/or SQL development

Clearance Required

Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance (US citizenship required)

Pay

Posted Salary Range: USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
