Senior Cybersecurity Engineer / Security Architect (MLS & High-Assurance Systems)

About the role

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer / Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-assurance cybersecurity solutions for MLS and critical systems. This role requires expertise in threat modeling, security architecture, and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive security architectures for MLS and high-assurance systems
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards such as NIST, ISO, and GDPR
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into product development lifecycle
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or a related field
• Proven track record of successful implementation of security solutions
• Experience with high-assurance systems and compliance with industry standards
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and technologies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred
• Experience with security architecture frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and its impact on security
• Experience with security testing and vulnerability management tools
