Description of Responsibilities
- Responsible for optimizing data ingestion pipelines and designing advanced security and operational monitoring solutions that support mission-critical systems across the enterprise.
- Supports the operations of cybersecurity personnel, applications, and appliances employed to defend the cyber terrain, to include but not limited to:
- Firewall management
- Host intrusion detection/prevention systems management
- Security information and event management (SIEM, e.g., audit log review and analysis)
- Vulnerability scanning
- Incident response
- Technical analysis & trouble shooting assistance
- Support the agency with project tracking using the integrated master schedule
- Prepare and present project updates to the agency change boards
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor of Science in computer science or related field or six to ten (6-10) years of experience in the cybersecurity field
- Required to be certified IAT level III (CASP, CCNP, CISA, CISSP)
- Experience with HBSS/EPO/Trellix/ESS or Tenable/ACAS/Nessus
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in the implementation and maintenance of Splunk enterprise monitoring and observability platforms
- In-depth knowledge of systems engineering, systems security operations, incident response methodologies, general user behavior analytics, and general personnel management
- Powershell & Bash experience
- Networking experience
- Firewall configuration
- Authentication configuration
- DNS/IP Configuration
- Varonis - experience with deploying & upgrading the application
- Fortify
- Redhat/Linux - knowledge of how to Chown and Chmod, file permission, creating .key .pem files
- Strong infrastructure expertise
- Demonstrated experience managing Splunk, ACAS, and Trellix environments
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must have an active Top Secret-SCI clearance
