About the role
The role is part of the In-Space Systems business unit, which is focused on addressing two of the most compelling challenges in spaceflight today: space infrastructure and increasing mobility on-orbit. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will ensure our space systems satisfy the needs of our critical partners, and craft the larger vehicle and ground data architectures to enable us to successfully implement the required capabilities for our mission.
Responsibilities
- Planning and configuring network topologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, routing protocols)
- Use outcome-driven metrics and key performance indicators to measure cybersecurity effectiveness and drive improvements and efficiencies.
- Assess compliance using monitoring technologies and regular audits and reviews, identifying areas of non-compliance and recommending corrective actions.
- Documenting space vehicle network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and supporting evidence of compliance.
- Support policies and procedures maintenance aligned with in-scope security frameworks, regulations, and internal standards to manage identified risks effectively.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities across the in-space systems mission area, analyzing their impact and likelihood of occurrence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or certification in cybersecurity, or equivalent industry experience
- 10+ years experience in Space systems command and data handling systems
- Knowledgeable of cyber security strategies and practices within the National Security Space industry
- Active TS/SCI Clearance
Qualifications
- Experience with space systems cyber standards including CNSSP-12, NCSDMO-8, CNSSI-4003, CNSSI-4005 and NIST 800-53
Skills
- Experience with National Security Space missions and USG acquisition offices and authorities
- Experience with AI and modern cyber security implementations
- Experience with implementing security products and designs in OSI layers 2 & 3

Pay
For WA applicants is $145,188.00 - $203,263.20
