Senior Customer Service Representative
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; three years of customer service experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.
Responsibilities
- Perform work of routine difficulty in complex customer assistance duties under general supervision.
- Assist with billing and customer service sections within the Utilities Department.
- Provide collection assistance for past due, written-off, and State Set Off accounts.
- Assist billing with daily reports to ensure accurate weekly billing.
- Support the Call Center with escalated calls and customer account questions.
- Process and respond to customer requests regarding billing issues or account questions via written correspondence or email.
- Assist the department manager and supervisor with performance monitoring and coaching.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requires working knowledge of customer service principles, standard office practices, and procedures. Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy with the public, interact with diverse individuals, perform mathematical calculations, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and operate standard office equipment and software.
Schedule
Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
