About the role

The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for the written analysis and underwriting of the creditworthiness of new loan proposals as well as existing loans. This role identifies credit policy exceptions and other credit issues to protect the asset quality of the Bank’s commercial loans.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active team member, and providing excellent service.
  • Prepare credit analyses for loan requests, including financial statement analysis, collateral analysis (including third-party reports), risk rating recommendations, trend analysis, and identifying strengths and weaknesses.
  • Prepare written recommendations on whether proposed loans should be approved or suggest alternate loan structures as appropriate.
  • Prepare financial statement spreadsheets measuring various financial ratio trends to evaluate financial status.
  • Assist Commercial Loan Officers and Portfolio Managers with annual loan reviews.
  • Mentor and guide Credit Analysts and Junior Credit Analysts.
  • Assist in the annual financial statement follow-up with borrowers; track and monitor the Bank’s receipt of this information.
  • Order flood searches as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Strong “People First” interest and ability.
  • Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and credit concepts.
  • Credit training.
  • C&I credit experience.
  • Basic knowledge of loan types and loan structures.

Qualifications

Working knowledge of the nCino platform is preferred.

Pay

$110,000–$125,000
