About the Role
This is a dynamic role with credit approval authority, focused on providing expert credit underwriting of fleet customers.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with dealers and customers as you assess credit requests.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis for both new and existing customers.
- Prepare clean, professional, and accurate credit write-ups.
- Recommend credit decisions and use your authority within our dual-signature policy.
- Communicate credit decisions clearly to all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including risk ratings and credit reviews.
- Gather essential due diligence and KYC (Know Your Customer) information.
- Review documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure loans and leases are properly documented with perfected liens.
- Develop and deliver training to enhance the skills of our credit team.
- Educate dealers on credit and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with management on policy updates and process improvements.
- Help resolve post-funding documentation issues.
- Always seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of accounting or finance experience OR Master's degree and at least 1 year of accounting or finance experience OR At least 5 years of accounting or finance experience
- Must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status).
Desired Skills
- 3+ years of credit underwriting experience on transactions or credit lines exceeding $1 million, preferably in transportation sector.
- Strong analytical skills, business writing skills and proficiency with applications including Excel, Word, PowerBI, and Moody's CreditLens.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate with C-level executives and the President/Owners of fleet customers and International dealerships.
- Knowledge of transportation industry and related credit policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in financial statement analysis, finance and lease documentation, insurance and lien perfection.
- Ability to assess credit risk of customers with large exposure levels.
- Ability to effectively prioritize workloads which include multiple transactions.
