Senior Credit Analyst

About the role

The Credit Analyst is responsible for gathering and analyzing credit information on current and potential borrowers; determines the advisability of granting credit for diversified types of loans; assists loan officers in writing loan requests; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

Responsibilities

• Proven ability to manage all essential duties of the City Bank Credit Analyst position.
• Prepare comprehensive loan memorandums detailing loan requests and credit quality for loan presentations and approval.
• Senior Credit Analysts are expected to underwrite credit requests of all sizes and complexity.
• Participate in the credit review process and ensure that all underwriting, policy, and compliance procedures are followed.
• Familiarize oneself with City Bank policy to effectively interpret, apply, and advise on policy.
• Maintain effective relationships with Senior Management and lending staff and assist lenders on client calls/meetings.
• Mentor and train credit analysts as well as coordinate and oversee internal group training.
• Participate in the hiring process and development of the credit department.
• Identify and coordinate external training opportunities for the credit department.
• Ensure that procedures and credit requests comply with City Bank’s loan policy.
• Participate in external training modules that consist of advanced credit analysis training a minimum of 2 times per year.
• Perform other job duties as required by the Regional Credit Managers.
