Responsibilities
- Oversee Credit Administration functions for various types of complex lending credit transactions including commercial real estate, commercial and industrial, residential construction, and affordable housing.
- Assists with analyzing, structuring, prescreening and approvals.
- Identifies deteriorating trends in credit quality and suggests downgrades as necessary.
- Maintains monitoring of specifically identified credits for concerns or problems as assigned.
- May train and mentor lending staff.
- May attend and participate in credit committee meetings.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business.
- 10+ years of directly related financial services experience with strong institutional credit expertise, including structuring and underwriting a wide range of complex credit transactions across Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Small Business, Consumer, or other specialty lending areas.
- Experience includes underwriting large, complex transactions as well as managing loan workouts and problem loans.
- An advanced degree is preferred, and a combination of education and experience may satisfy requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of structuring and underwriting a wide variety of complex credit transactions across Commercial Real Estate (CRE), Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Small Business, Consumer, or specialty lending, including large and/or highly complex portfolios.
- Strong working knowledge of loan workouts and problem loan management, supported by excellent leadership, management, and project management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, summarize, and draw conclusions on diverse issues while providing sound, relevant recommendations.
- Solid business judgment, change management capability, process improvement experience, and people development skills.
- Consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, commitment to responsibilities, and the ability to communicate candidly and tactfully with management.
- May require occasional travel to affiliate locations for direct interaction with senior management, credit teams, line units, loan administration, and workout officers.
Pay Range
$175,000 to $260,000 (Based upon relatable skills/experience and location)
