Overview of the RoleA leading healthcare company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its global creative and marketing organization. This role is responsible for leading complex, cross-functional creative initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, support business objectives, and deliver impactful multi-channel marketing solutions.The ideal candidate is a highly proactive project leader with agency experience, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong understanding of creative workflows, stakeholder management, and integrated marketing campaign execution. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to creative, strategy, operations, and business teams while managing high-visibility projects from concept through completion.The BasicsDuration: 1 yearHours: 40 hours per weekLocation: Onsite; Abbott Park, ILTop 3 Required Qualifications7+ years of project management experience within a creative agency, in-house agency, marketing organization, or related environmentProven experience managing complex, cross-functional marketing and creative projects from initiation through deliveryStrong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skillsOther QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fieldPMP certification or similar project management certification preferredExperience managing integrated marketing campaigns and creative workstreamsStrong understanding of project management methodologies, workflows, and governanceExperience supporting forecasting, budget tracking, and resource planningAbility to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneouslyStrong risk management and problem-solving skillsExperience mentoring junior project managers and team membersEvents, trade shows, experiential marketing, or brand activation experience highly preferredKey ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & DeliveryLead multiple complex Tier 1 projects simultaneously from kickoff through final deliveryDevelop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocationsManage project scope, risks, dependencies, issues, and change requestsEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectivesLead project closeout activities and document lessons learnedCreative & Marketing CollaborationPartner with strategists, creative directors, writers, designers, and marketing teams to deliver integrated campaigns and contentHelp ensure creative solutions align with brand strategy and organizational goalsConnect related workstreams and identify opportunities for greater impact across initiativesSupport the development of insights-driven marketing and creative solutionsStakeholder & Team ManagementServe as the central point of contact across internal teams, business partners, and external vendorsBuild trusted relationships and drive alignment across stakeholder groupsFacilitate project meetings, reviews, planning sessions, and status updatesEscalate issues proactively and help remove project roadblocksOperational ExcellenceMaintain project documentation, reporting, and governance standardsPartner with Operations teams on forecasting, reporting, resource planning, and project metricsMonitor budgets, expenditures, and project performanceDrive continuous improvement of project management processes and workflowsSupport onboarding, training, and change management initiativesLeadership & MentorshipMentor junior and mid-level project managersProvide guidance, support, and feedback to project teamsPromote best practices, collaboration, and a culture of continuous improvementRecognize and celebrate team achievements and project successesIdeal Candidate ProfileExperienced project leader with a strong creative agency backgroundStrategic thinker who can balance high-level business objectives with day-to-day executionSkilled at managing complex stakeholder environmentsExcellent communicator and facilitatorStrong operational mindset with forecasting and budget management experiencePassionate about creative excellence, marketing effectiveness, and team collaborationComfortable working in fast-paced, highly visible environmentsIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data.
