About the role

Partnering closely with leadership, content, social, production, and marketing teams, this role will proactively identify programming opportunities, pitch new concepts, and own approved projects from idea through delivery. You will also work with individual show teams to develop creative, visual, and repeatable in-show formats designed to perform across YouTube, social, and the broader digital ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Proactively develop, pitch, and produce premium original video franchises, recurring series, tentpole concepts, and shoulder programming built around AMP Sports shows and talent designed to drive audience growth.
- Own the creative process from concept through delivery, including development, ideation, pre-production, post-production, and final delivery.
- Partner with show producers to level up existing programming through creative concepts designed to improve audience growth, retention, and engagement.
- Extend AMP Sports talent and show IP beyond the core podcast, with a focus on premium YouTube video, repeatable franchises, and original concepts.
- Own the entire production process of original video content in studio, field, and remote environments, maintaining high standards of creative and technical execution.
- Direct on-camera talent, athletes, and creators in studio and on location, shaping story, conversation, performance, and creative execution.
- Lead the post-production process, partnering with editors and post-production teams to shape narrative through the edit and provide creative direction on larger projects.
- Ideate original programming built for discovery, distribution, and growth across YouTube and social platforms; use audience and performance insights to inform creative decisions.
- Work with show leads to develop and maintain a pipeline of programming ideas and opportunities; consult on new show launches and talent development when appropriate.
- Serve as a flexible senior creative resource across the portfolio, stepping into lead producer responsibilities as needed.
- Assist in developing and managing project budgets, and hire and oversee freelance production teams, vendors, and other external resources to execute approved concepts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 7+ years producing premium original digital video for a media or production company, sports or entertainment brand, agency, creator-led business, or similar.
- A highly creative developer and storyteller with a proven track record of originating compelling programming, video concepts, recurring franchises, or similar, and bringing them from concept through execution across YouTube, long-form video, social, and other digital platforms.
- A portfolio demonstrating exceptional creative instincts and format development skills across premium digital content.
- Expertise producing, shooting, and editing content in both field and studio environments across a variety of formats.
- Exceptional storytelling skills and editorial instincts, with the ability to identify compelling narratives and turn them into high-value content that connects with audiences.
- Experience directing on-camera talent, creators, athletes, and high-profile personalities, maximizing their skillsets.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (or similar), as well as hands-on production skills with cameras, lighting, microphones, etc., in field, studio, and remote settings.
- Strong understanding of social and YouTube best practices, audience retention, content packaging, SEO, and how content is consumed across platforms.
- A self-starter, highly collaborative, and able to lead and work across multiple teams while also working independently without oversight.
- Passion for creating digital-first content that cuts through the noise and drives significant audience growth.
- Experience developing and managing production budgets and onboarding and managing freelancers, vendors, and other external resources is a plus.
- Highly organized and communicative, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring all projects stay on timeline and key stakeholders are involved.
