Senior Courier SCH

Responsibilities

• Coordination of all scheduled and nonscheduled services for the movement of specimens, reports, payroll, banking, and other materials between Catholic Health (CH) hospitals, patient service centers and the Central Laboratory.
• Aid the Manager Logistics & Customer Service in compiling and maintaining departmental statistical data.
• Aid the Manager Logistics & Customer Service in developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two (2) years of driving experience as a courier or professional driver, preferred.
• Familiarity with the Buffalo/Western New York area, preferred.
• Two (2) years of experience in a customer-oriented position requiring direct customer interaction, including problem-solving skills, access to services, etc., preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Valid NYS Drivers License with no moving violation convictions.
• Clean driving record as defined in the Arrests, Convictions and Criminal Background Checks policy.
• Confident and professional manner to coworkers and the public.
• Customer-focused and demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and problem-solve.
• Ability to work safely with infectious and/or hazardous materials.

Working Conditions

• Sit for long periods of time.
• May require transporting various types of equipment, supplies, records, infectious/hazardous materials.
• Work in all types of weather conditions.
