Responsibilities
- Provide scheduled and nonscheduled services for the movement of specimens, reports, payroll, banking, linen, and other materials between Catholic Health (CH) hospitals, patient service centers and the Central Laboratory.
- Maintain required records of materials that are transported.
- Coordinate activities and assist in maintaining sound customer relations among various groups.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One (1) year driving experience.
- Valid NYS Drivers License.
- Clean driving record as defined in the Arrests, Convictions and Criminal Background Checks policy, HR-105-EMP.
- Able to work well in stressful situations.
- Confident and professional manner to coworkers and the public.
- Able to work safely with infectious and/or hazardous materials.
- Able to prioritize and problem solve.
- Able to work well in a team environment.
- Customer focused and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
Working Conditions
- Transporting various types of equipment, supplies, records, infectious/hazardous materials.
- Working in all types of weather conditions.
