Position Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm plus overtime as needed and 1 Saturday per month.
- Pay Rate: Starting at $25.04/hr and may pay higher based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead customer engagement at the counter, on the phone, and via email by providing expert guidance and recommending solutions that align with customer needs and company strategy.
- Serve as the go-to product expert for plumbing, HVAC and related categories; stay current on new technologies and industry trends.
- Drive revenue growth through proactive upselling, cross-selling, and promotion of strategic products and programs.
- Mentor and coach junior Counter Sales Associates to improve product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer service skills.
- Collaborate with Outside Sales and Branch Management to develop and execute local sales strategies.
- Manage complex orders and special projects, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Analyze sales data and customer trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Maintain a professional, organized counter environment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Aid in inventory management, cycle counts, and stock optimization.
- May be responsible for providing driver duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in counter sales, customer service, or related industry; plumbing/HVAC experience strongly preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid state issued license is required.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Advanced product knowledge and ability to provide consultative solutions.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Digital literacy and ability to analyze sales data.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
