About the role
This role is on a hybrid schedule in office some each week with some remote work. This role will be in our Detroit, Michigan or Charlotte, North Carolina office. Some travel required currently a few times per year.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical and prompt legal guidance on legal risks and issues.
- Review escalated complaint responses.
- Review marketing strategies and marketing campaigns.
- Review internal policies and training materials.
- Help negotiate vendor contracts.
- Serve as a trusted business partner and creative problem-solver.
- Collaborate with other members of the Legal and Compliance Staff and Government Relations team, as needed.
Requirements
- Law Degree from a reputable law school
- Bar membership in good standing required to practice law in designated/required jurisdiction
- 3+ years of relevant experience
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from a top tier law school
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of relevant federal statutes and regulations, experience in financial services, and ability to independently manage multiple assignments in a high-volume environment.
Skills
- Knowledge of relevant federal statutes and regulations, including CFPA, UCC, TISA, ESIGN, TCPA, and FCRA as well as relevant state consumer protection laws preferred.
- Experience in financial services preferred.

Pay
Base Pay Range: $110000 - $180000 USD
Schedule
Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process.
