Senior Counsel, Cards Product

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations, strengthening responsible execution, improving decision-making, and supporting sustainable growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Counsel the Product team on launching new features for the company Card
• Negotiate contracts, including NDAs and financing agreements
• Support Sales through training and process enhancements
• Review and develop compliant Marketing content
• Collaborate with Finance and Risk to address loss and fraud policies
• Work with legal peers on privacy, regulatory, and IP issues
• Stay updated on industry trends for proactive risk management
• Build trust with business partners to be a valuable advisor

Qualifications

• US-licensed attorney with 6+ years of experience
• In-house legal experience complemented by law firm training
• Expertise in emerging fintech products, particularly in commercial payments
• Ability to interpret and explain US financial regulations clearly
• Independent decision-maker in regulatory and contractual matters
• Enthusiastic and humorous problem-solver
• Revenue-enabling mindset with a healthy pushback approach
• Low ego and a commitment to empowering colleagues
• Interest in AI-driven tools and their applications in legal processes

Pay

$153,000 – $241,000 annually
