Senior Counsel, Business Legal

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Counsel, Business Legal to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will provide sophisticated legal guidance on commercial and product-related matters in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment. The attorney will help structure strategic partnerships, support efficient deal execution, and create practical frameworks that enable the business to move quickly while managing risk. Cross-functional collaboration will be essential, as this position partners closely with internal stakeholders to align legal solutions with business goals. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $224,995 – $264,700 annually Responsibilities Negotiate and structure custom commercial agreements with fintech and technology partners Develop innovative agreement frameworks to support product partnerships while safeguarding company interests Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges and finalize complex deals quickly Create playbooks and templates to improve deal cycle efficiency Advise on legal risks and solutions aligned with business objectives for transactions and product strategies Qualifications J.D. or equivalent with 7+ years of relevant transactional experience, and active licensure in a U.S. state Experience negotiating complex fintech agreements with sophisticated counterparties Proven track record of managing deal execution from start to finish across multiple transactions Experience developing scalable legal processes and frameworks to streamline deals Familiarity with using generative AI to enhance workflow efficiency with human oversight Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company contributions Equity and bonus eligibility based on performance Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
