About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Counsel AI And Data Governance to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a healthcare environment. Location: Chicago, IL - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a legal advisor on AI and machine learning deployment and use
  • Monitor and advise on global AI regulatory landscape developments
  • Support the AI governance framework and internal policies
  • Assess AI systems based on applicable regulatory risk tiers
  • Provide legal guidance on AI-related risks like algorithmic bias
  • Negotiate and draft AI tool agreements and data processing contracts
  • Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks pertaining to AI practices

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in technology law with a focus on AI governance
  • Experience negotiating enterprise technology and AI agreements
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and US/European AI regulatory developments

Pay

$200,000 – $225,000 annually
