About the Role

The Senior Cost Accounting Analyst supports manufacturing cost control and site accounting activities for Olin's largest assets. In this role, you will oversee cost-of-sales drivers (raw materials, energy, manufacturing and engineering spend), capital expenditures, working capital, and productivity initiatives. You will also support accurate and timely financial closes, budgeting/forecasting, and management reporting—providing insights that help improve efficiency and profitability. This role is high impact and high visibility, partnering closely with the Epoxy business division. This role offers hands-on experience working in SAP within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including:
    • Executing month-end close procedures and journal entries
    • Preparing account reconciliations and investigating variances
    • Supporting physical inventory observations and ensuring accurate inventory accounting
    • Reviewing fixed assets and supporting capitalization/depreciation processes
  • Analyze results, compile management reports, and deliver ad hoc financial analyses
  • Coordinate site estimates/forecasts and support the annual budgeting process
  • Support the annual standard cost-setting process and maintain standard costing assumptions
  • Maintain compliance with company policy and U.S. GAAP; support SOX/internal control activities (documentation, testing, and remediation as needed)
  • Ensure audit readiness and support internal/external audit requests, including timely responses and supporting documentation
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify cost optimization opportunities, quantify impact, and track productivity initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting; CMA or CPA certifications preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of related cost accounting experience and experience performing accounting work in a manufacturing company
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and SOX/internal controls preferred
  • Proficiency with an ERP system required; SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred

Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.S. Department of Education or equivalent program from an international university.

Pay

$88,400–$133,900

Schedule

Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week
