About the role

As a Senior Cost Accounting Analyst, you will be a Co-Pilot within the Factory Team (vision, organization, practices, initiatives/projects) on a day-to-day basis. Provide financial leadership by supplying factory and corporate management with accurate and timely financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the factory operations to assist production management in the identification, reporting, analysis, and correction of excessive losses, machine inefficiencies, and labor inefficiencies.
  • Partner with operations to maximize performance by designing financial and non-financial measurements and KPIs.
  • Develop routines to be present on the factory floor.
  • Challenge assumptions in seeking cost improvements in the factory.
  • Seek and support cost improvement opportunities.
  • Be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives.
  • Own and compile accurate, timely financial reporting including period-end close activities and daily variance analysis.
  • Partner with Engineering to monitor capitalizations. Research capitalization discrepancies and delays. Ensure accurate and timely capitalization adhering to company policy.
  • Perform fixed asset cycle counts on a routine basis. Report, track, and forecast asset retirements and impairments.
  • Support compliance with Nestlé Accounting Standards, operating instructions, and guidelines through monitoring, control reviews, and the factory compliance team.
  • Reporting, analysis, and support of assigned functional cost centers.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field.
  • 2+ years of Accounting/Finance experience.
  • Communication, leadership, and planning skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate to all audiences within the organization.
  • Aptitude with financial systems and advanced Excel experience.
  • Ability to perform moderately complex calculations.
  • Analytical thinking, curiosity, and detail-oriented.
