Senior Cosmetic Chemist

Duties/Responsibilities

• Works with Formulary and our customers to ideate and develop award winning products
• Manages on-going contractual customer projects
• Supervises chemical analysis processes
• Reviews the work assignments of chemists and support staff for optimum staff utilization
• Plans analytical procedures for use in complex analyses
• Reviews special chemical investigations
• Writes and/or reviews reports
• Reviews monthly inventory of chemical materials and raw ingredients
• Reviews changes to company chemical analysis manual and approves for distribution
• May represent the company at industry technical meetings and trade shows

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong personal communication and leadership skills
• Experience as a section head in a formulation laboratory

Education And Experience

• Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or equivalent
• At least 10 years experience in formulation chemistry
