Senior Corporate Counsel

About the role

Ripple Labs Inc. is seeking a skilled Corporate Counsel to join their growing and agile legal team. The ideal candidate will manage vendor agreements and support various product lines including payments, custody, and stablecoin.

Responsibilities

• Manage and streamline the vendor agreement process.
• Assist sales and business development teams with drafting and negotiating term sheets and definitive documentation.
• Manage external advisors engaged on commercial projects.
• Support other commercial or corporate matters as needed.

Requirements

• J.D. from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials.
• A minimum of 7 years of practice, ideally as a corporate attorney at a major law firm and at a fintech startup.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Ripple’s product, marketing, engineering, security, tax, and finance teams.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills, judgment, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and act decisively.
• Competence in presenting complex issues clearly and concisely, providing succinct, practical, and effective legal advice.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success in a similar role and a strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, particularly within the fintech sector.
