About the role
Ripple Labs Inc. is seeking a skilled Corporate Counsel to join their growing and agile legal team. The ideal candidate will manage vendor agreements and support various product lines including payments, custody, and stablecoin.
Responsibilities
- Manage and streamline the vendor agreement process
- Assist sales and business development teams with drafting and negotiating term sheets and definitive documentation
- Manage external advisors engaged on commercial projects
- Support other commercial or corporate matters as needed
Requirements
- J.D. from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials
- A minimum of 7 years of practice, ideally as a corporate attorney at a major law firm and at a fintech startup
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Ripple’s product, marketing, engineering, security, tax, and finance teams
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, judgment, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and act decisively
- Competence in presenting complex issues clearly and concisely, providing succinct, practical, and effective legal advice
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a background in transactional law and experience working in a fintech startup environment. They should also have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
