About the role
The Sr. Corporate Communications Specialist will plan, develop, execute, and oversee execution of employee and business communication activities and plans to further Children's mission, vision, and strategic plan. Will write, develop, disseminate and edit multiple forms of communication content and activities for Children's employees. Will assume lead on critical body of work for the department and act as responsible point person for projects as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic and effective communication messages and plans.
- Manage prioritization of messages/information to ensure employees receive timely information.
- Work with key stakeholders within the organization to establish and create effective employee communication programs to engage employees.
- Create and use tools to measure and monitor the effectiveness of communication initiatives.
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders; develop and maintain strong working relationships with departments to ensure consistent content, messaging and timing of communications plans.
- Utilize a variety of channels to effectively communicate news.
- Coordinate logistics and communication of special events.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or Communications (Required)
- Minimum Work Experience: 5 years 5 - 8 years in communications, strongly preferred (Required)

- Basic project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to work autonomously and offer solutions to problems.
- Displays sound judgment and is able to make independent decisions guided by the business goals of the department and organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize workload.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including AP Style.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Basic experience with video editing and design software.
- Experience with Sharepoint and newsletter content management systems.
