Senior Corporate Accountant - Multi-Entity Consolidations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the accounting and financial reporting functions of a multi-entity organization with domestic and international operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements across multiple legal entities, including elimination of intercompany transactions and balances, and maintain and reconcile intercompany accounts with domestic and foreign affiliates, including foreign currency translation and remeasurement.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies, assist with supporting schedules for external audits, bank reporting, and covenant compliance packages, and support sales and use tax, property tax, and other state and local tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare and analyze monthly management reports with budget to actual variance analysis, document and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and close procedures, and support special projects such as system implementations, process improvements, and ad hoc analysis for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and month end close responsibility
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• CPA license or active CPA candidate
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations and intercompany accounting
• Exposure to foreign currency accounting (ASC 830) and international operations
• Experience supporting external audits and lender reporting

Pay

$70,000 to $90,000 per year

Schedule

Full time, in-office role based in Pittsburgh, PA.
